Roughly half of Türkiye's natural magnesite reserves lie in fields for which KONREF holds the operating licence, and that ore is processed into high-quality Dead Burned Magnesia (DBM) on our own rotary kiln. The same Dead Burned Magnesia we use to make our own bricks and monolithics is also available to other refractory manufacturers and end-users who need a reliable, non-China magnesia source.

This makes KONREF a rare supplier: a vertically integrated producer with both the ore base and the processing capacity to provide consistent magnesia at meaningful volumes, with full traceability from mine to bag.

Our magnesia product range.

Dead Burned Magnesia

Sintered at high temperature on our rotary kiln. High bulk density, controlled grain size distribution, high MgO purity. It is the only magnesia we offer as a raw material, available in multiple grades — from general refractory raw material to selected high-purity grades for demanding applications.

High-purity DBM grades

High-density, high-MgO-purity sintered magnesia grades selected for the most demanding applications. With controlled grain size distribution and low porosity, they suit the working-face mixes of basic refractories.

Traceable Turkish origin

All our Dead Burned Magnesia is produced from ore in fields for which KONREF holds the operating licence, ensuring a non-China, documented and consistent chemistry.
